Feed my Feed Train Update

By admin | May 1, 2007

-update: Matt from ejabs.com just set the record straight, thanks Matt :)-

So after I introduced the Feed my Feed train about a week ago I noticed that after a few days the links weren’t going as fast as they should on Technorati while my RSS subsciber stats are nearing 100 now. What happened? A bit unclear but it seems the list got stripped of its Feed my Feed title along the way and my URL link in the list went through an alexa redirect which probably impacted my technorati linkbacks. I think I’m missing out on atleast 30+ links in the technorati list at the moment because of this.
Also a little dissapointed that on some blogs no credit was given to the origin of the list right here on bobmeetsworld.com and even blogs that thanked other people for starting the feedtrain?
Well I have left comments in the entries of the blogs I found which did not have the correct details about the Feed my Feed train and hope that they will rectify their information.
Aside from that it seems the Feed my Feed is a huge success for all that participated and I’m glad it worked out so well for all involved :D

Don`t want to miss a thing? Just subscribe to the full RSS feed :)!

links from Technorati The train I’m talking about began as the Feed My Feed Train created by Bob. Trinity at Female-Gamer added my Cafe Romanza blog to it, and I added this blog plus two others. The rule is that once you are tagged, you should add to the list three blogs that you think are worth reading. Please note in your post,

I saw your pingback to Garry Conn’s blog, checked my list and sure enough your link url was wrong. I have corrected it on my site. :)

Can we still join the feed train or is it over? I read about it, then forgot about it. Blame it on my mommy brain I guess. :(

Too bad there are a few negatives out of it. Overall good try though. You increased my Technorati ranking and I have a boost in traffic this week that I think was partially because of it.

    Thanks,

Hey Neil, glad to hear it’s helping you out. It seems the project is far from over, in fact I believe it’s picking up speed. You should be getting more links and subscribers :)
And Julie, please do use the Feed my Feed train on your sites! :)

    Thanks Trinity, appriciate it ;)

I didn’t know this. I’m sure glad you left me a comment so I could follow back here and learn all these. I shall revise my post pronto. Thank you for thinking this up. It’s a big help especially for us newbies.

    Hey Bob…

Sorry about someone stealing your thunder, I don’t think anyone meant any harm. :-( That was just where I found it & I gave credit to who I read started it. I have since corrected that & gave you credit.

Please return the favor, add me to your list & maybe update this post to shine a little more favorable light on my post.

    Thanks :-)

Thanks for the update Bob…I’m thumbing through your site & like what I see.

I think I’m going to add you to my blogroll…but right now I’ve got to go back to bed to get a few more hours before work!

    ;-)

links from Technorati added me to the Feed Link Chain game after she was added by Garry Conn. Thanks, Trinity! And if Garry Conn finds it useful to join this game, then I’m definitely in. This blog needs the exposure far more than his does. This game actually began as the Feed My Feed Train by Bob. Thanks, Bob, for thinking this up for everyone to benefit from. It feels good to be added, too, not just for the exposure but also because the rule says you should only add to the list three blogs that you think are really worth reading.

I’m glad you let me know that you started it-which is why I stated in my post I wasn’t sure where it originated. Unfortunately, the little experiment didn’t work well for me at all. People either hate me, or find me boring, I haven’t decided which. Congrats to those of you who actually benefited- I think everyone should and not just groups at a time. I don’t blame Bob- I partially blame a few of the blogs that were “promoting” it- they failed to give correct information, if they had trackbacks/pingbacks could have been sent.

It seems to go in phases beth, depending on who you forwarded the list to, you will get different results.
I’ll add you to the original list to see if you will pick up some more.
Although you have nothing to complain about with your current technorati rank :P

links from Technorati The Feed My Feed Train created by Bob is now stopping over here after coming from my Manila Mom blog. Once tagged, you should add to the list three blogs that you think are worth reading. Please note in your post, too, how the game began and who made it, as well as who
