Freedom Is The Right Of All Sentient Bloggers
By admin | June 5, 2007
If you grew up in the 80s like me, you’re probably just as excited as I am about the upcoming Transformers movie by Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg. Huge alien robots that could take the shape of most earth vehicles and transform into a powerful fighting machine in the blink of an eye. (remember the cool transforming sound or the transformers theme tune? ) I thought of some similarities us bloggers have in common with these robots in disguise.
1). You’re Joe Average in real life but as soon as you get near a computer with an internet connection you transform in a bloggerbot, seeking to change our mortal lifes by unleashing the powers of your typing fingers. (since you can’t mount laser guns on you hands, yet)
2). You’re either a brave and courageous Autoblogger, trying to make all the worlds wrongs right, or an evil Deceptiblogger, doing whatever it takes to get more money energon.
3). You like to hang out with other Transbloggers of the same team, grouping up on shared foes. By collective power you try to get things done how you want ‘em done.
4). You’re far away from home, Cybertron. Even though you keep in touch with everyone you know online, you hardly ever get to meet the person on the other side of the line IRL.
5). You stand for something. You don’t let things go unsaid. You invest time and effort to express your feelings online. If you’re an autoblogger you will raise awareness for bad things you think should change. If you’re a Deciptiblogger, you just ramble about how to make energon online.
Autobloggers, Roll Out!

“Enemies” is such a strong term. I don’t want to be enemies with anyone. But I guess, in this case, it’s kind of like being the mortal enemy of Megatron. The similarity being Megatron is not real either.

I agree, Foes sounds better.

That was woven together very well. I can’t wait to see the movie. I’m going to see it on June 28th 2 times, once for a charity event and the other through BotCon 2007. Should be a great night.

I’ve only seen two of the previews, and haven’t heard much about the plot, but someone told me Bumblebee is not a VW. That can’t be right can it?

When I first saw Kumiko’s blog I honestly wanted to get in touch with her as I have a few friends in Japan that are into blogging/internet marketing and have the occasional meet up. When I thought that her blog’s identity was questionable, I was a bit peeved off but then I thought it was a good marketing strategy as I am sure a lot of guys would visit her blog. How many other cute Asian internet marketers are there?
Then I had the worrying thought that we are going to be bombarded with copycats. I like reading what she writes, but you have to admit initially not many people would have visited the blog without her pictures.

I’m not sure you can say that fabricating an identity is a good marketing strategy. It’s a deceptive strategy, not sure about it being a good one. It’s the kind of strategy that gives ‘web marketing’ a bad name.

WOW! Now that’s what I call a CREATIVE post.
/clicks thumbs up on stumble bar
Anything can be fabricated on the internet these days.. even Bob! Only your real life friends will know who your are.. In any case, what matters is the value you add to the internet.. not the value (read money) you remove from it!
