Offering guest posts can definitely be beneficial to both the blog, and blogger. Providing more than one blogger on a blog, can be a huge success. Considering guest posting on this blog or another? Here are some reasons why you should.
Building Links to your Blog
This one is obvious, you are first of all guest posting to promote the article that you’ve written. Secondly you are promoting yourself. Lastly, you are promoting your blog.
Getting Your Name Out
As I mentioned previously, you are promoting yourself. This is could be especially beneficial for newer bloggers (but can help also veterans). Getting people to know you can prove to be very important. Blogging is a huge community effort. You won’t go anywhere without getting to know your fellow bloggers.
Writing for a New Audience
This basically ties everything together. By writing for a new audience, you are exposing yourself to different readers (not literally exposing yourself). If they like you, you may have just gained a few readers.
Guest blogging gives more of a community feel to a blog. It’s not just one person carrying the load of a blog and trying to satisfy and keep readers, its a group effort. Recently I also offered my guest blogging services to Blog about Money Online, so he can continue his blog (he couldn’t do it alone). Whatever the reason may be for you to be a guest blogger, it is something that can be worthwhile.
I love the community feel of blogging, which is why I created my own Blogging Community 6 months ago. Blog about your Blog is a multi author blog where we allow other bloggers to share their articles and blogs with us. It has become a great success in my eyes and I’m happy to have such a great community.
I’m also happy to have the chance to share this post (and myself) with you, and I hope Bob keeps his guest posters around, I’d love to contribute more.
