Google Likes To Rub It In

By admin | June 5, 2007

Google does snail-mail too! Today I received a letter from them which kinda go me excited when I opened it. Did they see the error in their ways and unban my adsense account? Hah! I think not. Seems they just like to rub it in..

Your Google AdSense Personal Identification Number (PIN)

Welcome to Google AdSense. To enable payment for your account we kindly ask you to follow these 4 simple steps:

STEP 1: Log in to your AdSense account with the username and password you created during thte application process. URL: www.google.com/adsense/
STEP 2: Select the My Account tab and click Payment History
STEP 3: Click the ‘Please enter your PIN’ link
STEP 4: Enter your PIN as it appears below.
Your PIN: xxxxxx

Please contact us at adsense-support@google.com if you did not sign up for Google Adsense.

Thanks,
The Google AdSense Team

P.S Don’t forget to visit www.google.com/adsense/payments to learn more about AdSense payments.

Why do I need a PIN?

A Personal Identification Number (PIN) is mailed to each AdSense publisher when earnings have reached $50 on their account. This PIN helps us to verify publisher addresses and protect the personal information of our publishers. If a PIN has been mailed to you, we will hold all payments until the PIN has been entered. However, your account will still be accessible, and you’ll continue to be able to show ads and accrue earnings.

You mean getting the money they never paid you? Or just start fresh?
