Google PageRank Update

Right, OK, Let’s see. A few words that came to mind when I had a look at my google pagerank prediction were; WTF! OMG!
Yes, it seems I will be getting a PR of 1. Not 5 like I hoped for. Not 4 what I was expecting. Not 3 or 2 which weren’t even considered by me, but a stinking 1.
Having said that, I don’t think that google is quite finished yet with gathering their data, but thing’s aren’t looking good for me.
So what went wrong? If I look at the amount of links I am getting on let’s say Yahoo for example: 3,510
Google has only 233 links on file for me? Look at the screenshot above taken at the end of March. That found 729 backlinks. How did I lose over 500 backlinks in a month instead of gaining that amount or more?
Something isn’t right. The googlebot is here more often than I am.
A lot of my traffic comes from google, my technorati rank is in the top 5% and I have plenty of content. More than some other sites I checked, which are getting a PR4 and are online as long as this blog has been.
One thing I can think of which might have to do with it is that my main site that I changed to http://domain.com instead of the www.domain.com about a month ago. And I neglected to implement a sitemap.xml untill a few weeks back.
Is there anyone that can help me figure out what went wrong and how I can fix it for the next pagerank round?
Well this is not the time to sulk but to start improving and see if I can turn this around like I did with my Technorati rank and RSS subscriber stats

I just checked out my predicted PageRank on a couple sites and they both gave me quite different answers. I don’t know. One of those things we’ll just have to wait and see. I tried putting in the www in the domain name with and without and I went from PageRank 3 to PageRank 0 on one of them.

Hey buddy, I guess why you get low pr is because you don’t have enough quality links. Quality links mean the links that is related to your blog. Let said you blog about hawaii, so you must get more link who is blog about hawaii, exchange it. Another thing is get more high pr link to you. I will link to you later on, not done yet with the post. And I suggest you review johnchow blog now, his blog get pr6. If you get a link from him now, your next update will rock it man!
I tell you a little secret, I give my blog Imalaysian with just a link from my blogging secret, and you guest what? It get pr2. OMG, just a link only. Imagine if I have 20 pr5 links, sure will get pr5.If pr6? you get what i mean? I just give a little help to my friend.

One of my blogs hasn’t even hit the pagerank radar yet and I’ve been updating regularly. And another blog of mine used to have pr4, but went down to 3. Strange thing is that on that blog, I didn’t used to update it as regularly as I am now. But now that I do, it seems to be slipping a little.
But I agree with louiss above. I, too, just learned that link to JohnChow will help, so I’ve got that in the works.

The JohnChow link won’t do you much good. I had one since the 20th of March
John isn’t the only good link I have according to Technorati
There must be something else going on.

Wow that really does make no sense. I was curious today and checking around for my page rank (I really didn’t think I’d even get one), but every site I check out says I have a PR of 2 now. It makes no sense because my site is small, young, and I don’t have a lot of links to me. Your blog is a million times better than mine so I wonder why you don’t have a higher PR. It just makes no sense! Good luck though.
