How I Just Got $50 From Second Life Doing Absolutely Nothing.
By admin | March 28, 2007
Second Life, I signed up a few months ago and loaded the game up maybe 5 times. This wasn’t for me so it got wiped of my hard drive pretty quickly.
My online account however was never cancelled and I just came across a Second Life article which reminded me to have a look if my account was still active.
It appeared that over that period of time I had accumulated quite a few Linden Dollars which they give you for free every week.
These Linden Dollars can be converted to Real Dollars and paid directly into your paypal account. Nice little bonus I didnt expect.
My advise: Sign up now and never look back. After a while you simply log in and cash out!

But weren’t you paying a monthly fee for your Second Life account?

I just tried the same trick after having not touched my Second Life account in possibly over a year. I’ve accumulated $350 “Linden dollars” which worked out to $1.23 actual dollars, if I were to sell them. Is that what you did too, or did you find some other method of obtaining your $50?

Did you have to give them you paypal information in order to get the money? I feel a little skeptical of giving my information.

Garrett, When I signed up it was free and if I remember correctly, they were giving away extra Linden Dollars.
Katie, No idea why I got more than you. That’s exactly what I did too.
Adam, Yes, you need to give them your paypal registered email address.

That’s crazy. They probably won’t be doing that for very long or the exchange rate will start dropping for Linden dollars. It probably was more of a promotional thing for you Bob and that is how you got the extra cash.
