LA Marathon changes 2009 race date to February 16, 2009

The Los Angeles City Council voted on Friday on item number #46 by a majority vote to change the 2009 LA Marathon race date from Sunday March 1, 2009 to Monday, February 16, 2009.
This is how the LA City Council voted on Friday September 19, 2008:

Starting in 2009, and every year there after, the race will commence on a Monday on Presidents Day.

this is a major what i would call “non-recoverable” mistake….
i say in 3 to 5 years the race will either change again or be out of business….i say the latter by 2012…
