Technorati Flagged Me For a Review?

Every day I check my technorati rank to see if I climbed up the steep ladder but today my blog could not be found. Reading their forum I noticed that there is something some of us flagged blogs have in common; we posted the 2000 bloggers links.
Wonder if this is a no-no for technorati and hope their support staff get around soon so I can stare at my ranking again!
- Q: When I try to find my blog in the Blog Directory, I get the Huh? message.

Your blog may be flagged for review. If this is the case, please submit a support ticket from our Support Contact Form with the Support Type “Tags” and Concerning “Blog Tags - My blog is not listed in the Blog Directory successfully”.

Here’s a comment I received from one of Technorati’s staff members, Ian:
Affiliating with 2kbloggers isn’t a problem, I think there may have been a bit of misunderstanding spread around that. We love seeing the formation of social communities in the blogosphere. The only concern Techorati had with 2kbloggers was the practice of cutting and pasting sets of links. When there’s widespread use of links “just to share links” it reduces the meaning of the links. We orient our blog analysis, indexing and link counting infrastructure towards links that are social gestures so from time to time we implement indexing policies to filter those out or decline indexing altogether.
If you’re posting links to blogs you actually read, are replying to a post on another blog or citing what someone else said in their blog post, there’s nothing to worry about. However, when folks pile on the links by the hundred or thousand, our systems will often catch that and flag the blog to discontinue indexing since it manipulates rankings and dilutes the value of links that otherwise contribute to one of the measurements of attention that Technorati provides: counts of links.

That’s funny. I thought you were going to get banned. They probably look for people involved in massive link sharing ideas to boost their Technorati ranking.

Just posted that with Technorati as you suggest so all being well I’ll be back in business tomorrow.
Might be an idea to post a warning about it on the 2kbloggers post and how to fix it if/when it happens.
