The Face Behind The Blog. My Story

Thanks to Roberta Ferguson I am obliged to let you guys in on some stuff behind the scenes of bobmeetsworld.com. she tagged me for a meme that’s going round;”The Face Behind The Blog”. I know I posted that I did not want to participate in any artificial linkback boosting memes, but I feel that this is actually a useful one since it will reveal some great stuff about your favorite bloggers.
First off I need to tell a little about me.
One of the first memories I have is me, about 2 or 3 years of age, standing on top of a bar somewhere in Spain where I was on vacation with my mom, ferociously emptying my waterguns on all the innocent people in the pub. The more people I soaked, the more people laughed. From that moment I knew I liked to entertain the crowd.
Since I don’t have any brothers or sisters, I had to get used in primary school to play with the other kids. It took a little while and some guidance from my teachers before I stopped whacking my classmates over the head with the plastic shovels we used to play in the sandbox.
In high school everyone seemed to like me. Except for the teachers. I’ve had 4 different principals on 4 different schools in 4 years. Boy was my mom happy with me! (I wasn’t a bad kid, just too busy with everything but school).
I decided school was not for me and saw that some of my friends were making money and I wanted a job too. Be independent. You name me a job and I can probably tell you that I did it at one stage. I’ve been a lifeguard, truckdriver, salesman, burgerflipper, screwcounter, baker, butcher etc…
It wasn’t till around 1998 when my Dad came home with a 386 PC and I managed to do a format c: (I did learn something in my time in school 
). It took me the entire day to figure out how to get windows 95 reinstalled so I wouldn’t get my ass kicked. In the end I did it and still don’t know if he ever noticed or just not say anything about it. That was it, I was hooked. From that moment on I got my hands on as much computer stuff as I possibly could. I got a break with a job where I could implement and expand my computer knowledge as an Internet techie. I drove by people’s houses and installed their Internet via cable for them.
Several jobs in the 9 years after that until now, all IT related and I have worked myself up to Senior San Analyst at a well known hardware manufacturer who pay me handsomely for my services. I had to move to Ireland nearly 3 years ago to get my current job and I have met the love of my life here last year.

Ireland huh? I’ve always wanted to see Ireland.
Since I can’t afford an extended vacation there, I’ll just drink myself silly tonight and pretend.
After all, drinking yourself silly is basically like being in Ireland, isn’t it?

Betshopboy, imagine a big cone that spews out thousands of screws. I was standing at the end of the conveyor belt, putting a handfull of screw in a little box and had to weigh them to see if it had enough content. My carreer lasted for about 2 whole days and I ran away screaming
