To PS3 or not to waste money, that is the question
By admin | March 24, 2007
Whilst walking to the bus heading to work (my car broke down) I noticed in the shop windows that Sony’s PS3 has finally arrived here in Ireland.
The Irish version of the PLAYSTATION 3 site is reporting that the 60GB version will be available at launch (yesterday) for EURO 629.99. The “cheaper” 20GB version, retailing at EURO 529.99, will not be available. For shock value, here’s that in US dollars: $814.25 and $684.97.
So, after all the PS3 hype and buzz, I have made up my mind:
I paid EURO 349,00 for my Wii which has been used for about a month and is now gathering dust under the television.
Then I paid another EURO 500,00 for my XBOX360 which is only being used every now and then.
Then all the games and accessories I *had* to have too…not even gonna start how much that has cost me
Unfortunately for Sony, I refuse to spend yet another EURO 629,99 even with the high gotta-get-me-one-of-those factor.
They are just too late, I have spend my money on the competition which was there sooner.
So hereby my sincerest apologies Mr Sony, better luck next time.
Looks like I’m going cold turkey!
(And I could really use the money to get my car fixed :))
