Tools For Bloggers on the Go
By admin | May 25, 2007
I don’t know about you guys but I sure dont write all my blog posts from the same spot or the same computer. Blogging on my macbook would be my number 1 choice but life sometimes forces us to use what we got. Your workstation at the office. The PC in an internet-cafe in Australia. Who know where you will be blogging in a few weeks.
The good thing about internet is that all the tools you need are always with you. Here’s two of the tools I use or have used to keep Bobmeetsworld updated:
- Net2FTP: A webbased FTP client that allows you to transfer up to 5Mb for 30 seconds at a time. Has proven very useful indeed.
- Resizr: An online image resize utility so you don’t get your layout messed up when uploading a pulitzer prize canidate..
What tools do you use as an ambitious problogger ?

I’ve tried Qumana on another blog a while back. Wasn’t a bad experience. I’ve been thinking about using WriteToMyBlog.com though. It has a nice set of tools with which to customize your blog, plus it’s free.
I shuddered at the thought of giving it the login to my blog though fearing what if someone broken in and caused all sorts of havoc. But it may just be my paranoia.

I wouldn’t give my login to some online app either
Call me paranoid hehe

I always used to use 01ftp.com from abroad. As far as I know it doesn’t place any bandwidth limits.
You are right though; you have to have a strong degree of trust to use online FTP apps.
