Want to Star in a SuperBowl Commercial?

The good folks over at Fuelmyblog.com have gone to great lengths to give their members the opportunity to become a national star. You can get a part in a new superbowl commercial which will be shot in LA. Don’t worry about getting there; they will fly you there from anywhere in the world! 
This competition is yet to be announced but I got the inside scoop from their CEO Kevin Dixie, who also happened to tell me that big things for the site are scheduled early June:
The next phase is more about technology behind the scenes. We are moving to a new server and re-writing everything to make it quicker, slicker and easier to use. Everyone will get a user account that enables you to change image, see who has voted for you and also who has commented on your blog. We’ll also have a live posts screen that enables the users to display their recent posts on the front page in a scrolling screen. Along with more categories (15) a better blog written by guests and a blog radio show. The biggest thing for me will be a blog search engine, only searchable for blogs on fuel but will make the site truly usable and also, no more waiting for ages to see a couple of thousand images to enable a scroll, we’ll only display 160 random per category at a time.
We plan to re-launch first week of June as the migration and writing is huge..We aim to launch loads more competitions and offer some other unique blog services (still under negotiation). Next comp is the chance for somebody, wherever in the World to be flown out to LA and star in a super bowl commercial.
Now for those of you who can’t wait to fly to LA, you can enter their current competition, sponsored by Lastminute.com, and win a weekend in Vienna. Hotel and business class flights incuded! That sure sounds sweet to me You’d better hurry up because the end date is 18th May 2007
Obviously competitions aren’t the main reason to visit and register your blog with Fuelmyblog. It’s a fun site where you can browse through thousands of other bloggers site, fueling them with the click of a button so more people will see what your favorites are. This works both ways of course. People that fuel your blog increase the chances of you getting more readers.
There’s a forum where you can discuss all kinds of things that interest you and meet other bloggers face to face, since they all have their pictures up to see.
Well there you have it, Fuelmyblog.com is a great place to find people and their blogs, make friends and win great prizes!
